If you've followed the instructions in my e-mails and want to preview the new editor side, then [link="http://www.gamingmoz.org/admin/"]follow this link[/link]. I've only uploaded scripts that have been completed and exhaustively tested, so there are still broken links from the parts I'm working on finishing. You might not notice much difference at first as the changes are mainly to the backend. Everything has been started from scratch and cleaned up, and the authentication system has been completely replaced (notice that you use your e-mail address to log in now). Note that the new game script is temporarily disabled due to some link up issues between game pages and forums.

I know many of the core scripts haven't been uploaded yet, but if you browse through hopefully you'll notice everything loads a lot faster. This is for two reasons:
1) The code clean up.
2) The new authentication system.
The old authentication system cycled through a text file everytime you went to another page. As the member list started to grow, so did the loading times! ;)
Also note that the hard part is over for me... the core functions etc. are all done. Converting the scripts themselves is (usually) the easier part, thanks to the similarities of Perl and PHP.

Soon the forums are also going to be overhauled like the editor-side. The delete post button will start to work, and many new features will be added. There will also be significant improvements to the way console and game forums are handled. There will be easier ways of browsing these forums, and multi-platform games will share the same forum (rather than have a forum for the same game on each platform).

And last but not least, the public side will be overhauled. I'm not 100% sure what will happen here, but I want to "funk up" the look of the pages a bit (but not too much).
Scripts will also be created that will allow non-editors to submit reviews, cheats, links, and game data for review by editors. There will be a requirement for users to submit plenty of data this way before applying to become an editor - this way we will keep the dodgy folk out. :)
