In this game, players piloted their ship made of undetailed white and purple polygons (a.k.a. an Arwing) through various obstacles, while shooting down fighters, taking on gigantic bosses, and saving Fox's teammates from enemy attacks. One of the more noticable features of this game included the "branching paths" storyline. A player's actions in a certain mission would determine which planet or sector the Star Fox team would head off to next en route to their final destination.
