Easy bells with your islander - Submitted By: musicman2059
You can use your island native to get you lots of money easily... if you have a GBA.
First, start off by collecting as much fruit as you possibly can. Once you have done so, plug in your GBA and turn it on, then talk to Kapp'n to head to your island. Once there, drop all your fruit onto the ground, then talk to Kapp'n again to leave, but make sure you save your island to your GBA.
On the GBA screen, bring your native out, then pick up each piece of fruit and drop it in front of them. They will eat each fruit, and will start dropping bell bags after the second one.
After this is done, connect your GBA back to your GameCube and head back to your island. (You may also want to take more fruit with you, too.) Now, you can pick up the dropped bell bags, which can range from 100 to 30,000 bells each.
Getting a tan - Submitted By: musicman2059
There's an easy way to get a tan year-round if you have a GBA. Simply travel to your island, then stay put for 10 minutes. This will give your character a tan that stays for a week. (You can repeat this trick to keep it for a longer time.)
Money tree - Submitted By: musicman2059
When you find a glowing spot on the ground, dig it and collect the bells you've uncovered. However, instead of adding it to your bell count, drop it back in the hole and burying it. In a few days, you'll have a money tree, which you can shake bags of bells off of, for a total of three times more than the amount you put in. (Note that money only grows on a money tree once.)

Each of the four main tools in the game have a golden version, which adds extra benefits, and to get them is as follows:| Unlockable: | Details: | | Golden Shovel | After digging up the bell bag at a golden spot, bury a shovel in the now dug-up spot. A golden shovel will appear on the resulting tree if it grows successfully. | | Golden Net | Catch every single insect in the game. | | Golden Fishing Rod | Catch every single fish in the game. | | Golden Axe | Keep your town perfect for two weeks. |
