The DreamCast Visual Memory Unit (VMU) was an innovative type of memory card. What made these different from your normal everyday card is that they all had a small LCD screen on them, used mainly for managing the data on them. However, that's not all they do, because some games/types of game data had the ability to download games to the card, that could be played right off of the VMU itself on its screen.
