GameCube Description:
Released in November 2001, (N. America) the Nintendo GameCube was the third Next Generation system to be released, behind the Playstation 2 and XBOX. This cube-shaped console saw Nintendo throw out the game cartridge and brought in the game disc. (GameCube discs are smaller than those used on the PS2 and XBOX) The GCN comes in two models: a standard model, and one which supports progressive scan for those TVs that are capable of it.

The Nintendo GameCube featues four controller ports, two memory card slots, (Memory cards are available 59, 251, and 1019 block capacity.) and a port for a broadband adapter/modem for games with LAN multiplayer features. In addition, a Game Boy Player is available, which allows people to play Game Boy Advance games on their GameCube. Certain games also allow connectivity between the GameCube and the GBA for other special features.
