Hi, remember me? Of course you do! Okay... so you don't. What is there for you to know about me anyways? Why would anyone want to know about me? I'm just a loser. *whimper*
Okay, okay. So obviously, my editor name is musicman2059, and I hail from Vancouver. I got my start in these moz-ish projects when I became an editor at the Open Directory Project. I still am today, just with a lot more edits under my belt, too. ;) Long before that, though, I knew the creator of this... beastly project on a "virtual" personal basis. We both started with our own little projects; lufiaguy had Lufia World, and I had The Ancient Cave. (And we still do.) He got accepted into DMOZ one day and I subsequently applied as soon as I heard of it, and I got in, too.
Well, enough about that. Other than the above, LG kicks my wimpy cyber-derriere around the Internet with his 1337 CODING SKILLZ, seeing that he's a keditall at DMOZ, a meta at open-site, is coding this project, among other things. I don't even have the time for that. (Yay for internet cafés possibly being banned in my area!)
I jumped right in to GMOZ as an editall, but eventually worked up to Meta before development was completed. Now that we're starting to near completion, I've gone from testing and nagging LG to fix all the little bugs that have come across to trying to get started on what would be an exhaustive game database. It's not easy work and I barely have the time to do it, you see.
So, that's part of the story of how I know GMOZ's creator, and how I saw it go from just a small creation into this. It will probably never become like a GameFAQs or whatever, but it's not the competition, it's the dedication and pride of those who play a part in this. (Then again, LG is aiming for #1 and I have a pessimistic point of view. Listen to him instead. ;) )
So yeah. If you have any questions, any at all, or if a minor detail seems to be missing or whatnot, don't hesitate to tell me, or lufiaguy, about it. You can probably find me in various forums around here, too, and if you know me, you know how I love to interact with other people. I can be quite friendly. (I can also be found on GameFAQs, too, and I pwn your ass with my 1000+ karma!)
Enjoy GMOZ for what it's worth, and make sure you bow to lufiaguy every once in a while... or I'll have to make you bow down to him. :P
